Canna hearts desserts and tea! So when it came time to plan her very first baby shower about four years ago, we knew right away that we wanted to host an afternoon tea party. Searching the venue was not difficult as we have quite a few tea houses in San Francisco and in the East Bay, and after some visits, Secret Garden stood out from the crowd. The place is fun and cozy — PLUS it has a private party house in the back, where there’s a dressing room packed with funny sunglasses, feather hats, and blink blink headband…etc.
To downplay the Victorian theme wall paper and to make the room chic, we added checkers ribbons to the simple place cards along with a seed thank you card placed in a pink vellum envelope which tied with a pink-yarn pom pom! For centerpieces, we did a mash-mallow pink spray roses mini tree. How cute!
Out of baby shower game ideas? We had prepared tons of crafty materials for our guests to make these one of the kind onesies for Salad. And how about predict what the baby will look like? Look at these pictures created by our guests with our family’s photos. Gosh and we are still awfully surprised that Salad looks just like the pic. wahahahaha.
